The SHK Council
The SHK Council is responsible for ensuring that the employment conditions for SHK, WHF and WHK are appropriate and comply with applicable labour law. To this end, it advises student employees in individual cases and informs them of their rights.
The Rectorate and the department heads are obliged to provide the SHK Council with information on matters concerning the SHK, WHF or WHK. We can also object to unlawful measures or actions at the university and thereby postpone their implementation for one week. If our concerns are not resolved, the Rectorate must be involved and decide how to proceed.

Election
The SHK Council is elected in the senate and committee elections, which take place at the same time as the student parliament elections. The election is a personal election in eight constituencies, namely the seven faculties and the Bonn Centre for Teacher Education. All students who are employed as SHK, WHF or WHK on the 45th day before the election are eligible to vote. All students are eligible to vote.
